Before you are allowed onto our Airgun Shooting range you must sign the ground rules waiver.

General Airgun Range Rules

  • Only non-FAC (less than 12 ft-lbs) air rifles & air pistols (less than 6 ft-lbs) can be used on the range.
  • All Shooters must be over 18 or accompanied by someone over 21.
  • Shooters are only permitted to shoot within the designated range area.
  • No guns are permitted within the lodge.
  • Do not shoot if you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication.
  • No live quarry to be shot at.
  • Never leave your gun unattended.
  • When not in use, all guns must be unloaded and secured in a cover, slip or carry case.
  • No guns are allowed past the car park unless they are in a slip or carry case.
  • All users of the range must sign in each visit and declare that they are not a prohibited person under the terms of Section 21 of the Firearms Act 1968.
  • Any user who wilfully disobeys, violates, or does not comply with any of the General or Safety rules of the range will be asked to stop shooting and leave the range.
  • Any deliberate damage caused will incur a repair or replacement charge which you agree to pay.
  • Smoking or vaping is prohibited within the shelter.
  • Foul behaviour and abusive language towards range users and staff members will not be tolerated. You will be asked to leave, and no refund will be given.

Airgun Range Safety Rules

  • Do not go beyond the firing point unless everyone shooting has agreed, and confirmed their weapon is unloaded and safe. Note – Relying on the gun being on is not allowed and weapons should be confirmed as unloaded/uncocked.
  • Do not shoot beyond the limit of the range i.e shooting into trees or into the fencing is not allowed.
  • Children are to be supervised at all times.
  • Safety – Your rifle or pistol must always be kept pointing in a safe direction i.e. downrange, you must NOT under any circumstances point it at a person.
  • Always treat the weapon as loaded.
  • Check your weapon is unloaded and the magazine is removed prior to coming off the firing point, or when you are going to refill it or change lanes.
  • Only use refilling equipment if you are competent to do so, otherwise please ask a member of staff.
  • Ensure any damage to filling or range facilities is reported immediately.
  • You agree to report anyone not abiding by any of these rules and or endangering any range user.
